新衣櫃
用了兩天總共不足一小時扑鎚買了,
第一天路過住處對面一間家庭式的傢俬舖,
望入去發覺一個很窄的高身櫃,
隨即入去看看,
木質和尺碼跟我棄置了那個差不多,
只是內部間隔有多少分別,
於是把概念藏在心中。
星期日見到細寶叫她入內看一看,
繼而和她到另一間連鎖傢俬舖一遊,
發覺尺碼太大除非訂造。
商量之下決定買我第一回睇到那個,
原因我想快所以不打算訂造,
價錢不算平但可接受,
店舖在住處對面有乜冬瓜豆腐可以立即去商討。
昨午新衣櫃終於進入我屋,
現在要諗的是怎樣把佈滿豬床上的衣服放好,
因為內裡間隔有差別,
放置時有一定的難度。

ReplyDeleteAs part of our retirement plan, we recently sold our house and moved to a smaller one. As all the furniture in our former house wouldn't fit into this small house, we had to buy all new furniture. We got most of our furniture from Ikea, all practical and the prices are reasonable. Anyway, this is now our new home, our "retirement home". I miss our former house a lot as we had lived in it for more than 20 years .....
It might be good to have some changes from time to time. Refreshment might give your life more abundant. I am so interested in how your new life goes after retirement. Can you tell me a little about it?

DeleteAfter working for so long,it's time to step down from this stressful work life and enjoy life while I still am "young". People were shocked to see me made up my mind to let go and retire so early. I myself found it hard to really let go too. Anyway, I started taking my pre-retirement leave last May. So, it's been more than 10 months since I stopped working and now I don't regret a bit. In the beginning, I felt like I am not important anymore. But now, I am simply resting, relaxing and be lazy. My husband has also recently retired. Other than being lazy, we started travelling as much as we can while we still can do it. We had our first trip already last year to Europe with a bunch of our fellow hikers and have planned several more this year, mainly Europe. So, we simply try to have fun, 吃喝玩楽. Because soon we will be too old to even do that. Besides you never know what's going to happen tomorrow. Since I left work, three coworkers from other departments have passed away. So, you would never know whether you would still be here tomorrow...
About the house, we sold it and bought a smaller one, the kind that you pay maintenence fee and you don't have to shovel snow and take care of the gardens, the maintenance guys will do it. Now after snow, we don't have to spend 4 or 5 hours out there shoveling snow anymore. Of course, the house is a lot smaller and the gardens are very tiny compared to our former ones. Anyway, it's a good choice for retirement.
DeleteGlad to know that you do enjoy it and hope you have a long-lasting life like this. You make me admire so much but I really can't afford it.
DeleteNow that we're living on our pensions and retirement benefits, we have to remember to mind our budgets and we can't travel so often for long. We are trying to enjoy life this way while we have freshly retired. Otherwise, we'll be 坐食山崩。
