If you enjoy eating, it's OK to eat more. If not, don't force yourself to eat more than you should. I'm the opposite in recent years, I'm gaining weight. Even now that I've been hiking almost every weekend, I didn't lose any weight, instead, I'm gaining. Most likely, I'm getting more muscles, that's why.
I eat simply because I feel hungry. I can hardly make nice dishes. I can just say that they are only my personal taste. I do need to gain more weight and muscles.
